- Supplementary Description: This seminar will explore mathematical modeling as a way to display,
interact with, and improve the comprehension of information. We will
focus mainly on spatial information, but more abstract models may be
developed depending on the interests of the class. Our main tool will
be Mathematica, with an emphasis on the production of rapid prototypes
of interactive visualizations applicable to a wide variety of
questions. We will learn Mathematica from scratch in the first two
weeks.
